Letting kids be kids is one of the hardest things for a parent. We sometimes try to stop some of the habits that allow them to learn and grow. Such as telling them to be quiet after they’ve gotten into trouble, telling them to suck it up after they’ve just fallen, etc. We as parents have to be wiling to relate and communicate in a way that allows them to express themselves as people. At the end of the day, they are PEOPLE!

Do not make their bad experiences even worse experiences for them.

Instead make their bad experiences learning experiences, growth opportunities and opportunities for you to become a better parent and person.

Direct your children onto the right path,
and when they are older, they will not leave it. (Proverbs 22:6 NLT)

What are some ways you have encouraged and connected with your children?
